“The Urgency of Now: Creating a Culture of Health Equity”`
Please join us for the National Medical Association (NMA)’s Professional Development Series at the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, Inc. (CBCF)’s Annual Legislative Conference (ALC) on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 in Washington, DC.
This one day forum will feature a collaborative approach, bringing together a coalition of national health leaders representing major African American and public health organizations that will coordinate with national, state, and local legislative representatives, health associations, industry, and social advocacy leaders to identify solutions to systemic public health issues. The intent of this collaboration is to create a National Action Plan for Health Equity, with the goal of developing a framework for creating a culture of health in the community through improving access, early detection, prevention, screening, and treatment for those diseases having the greatest impact on health outcomes in minority communities.
