About the the CBCF ALC and the NMA PDS
The CBCF ALC is the leading policy conference on issues impacting African Americans and the global black
community. During the ALC more than 10,000 thought leaders, legislators, healthcare professionals, and other
attendees will address issues such as economic development, civil and social justice, education, and public
health during its more than 100 policy forums.
The NMA Professional Development Series (PDS) is a one day forum designed to enhance the educational underpinnings
of physicians, healthcare providers, and all professionals interested in promoting health equity. The format will
include panel and keynote presentations discussing inequities and disparities in key areas, and systematic approaches
to promote wellness through prevention and management of disease.

Location and Hotel Information
The conference will be held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC. The NMA has a limited
number of hotel rooms at the Morrison-Clark Hotel located approximately one block from the convention center. Speakers

Washington’s Ronald Regan National Airport (DCA) is the closest airport to the convention center and is located approximately
six miles away. Travel time is approximately 25 minutes, depending on traffic.
